1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
Eating frogs. Mark Twain said “if it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing.” The habit I wish I started earlier is not procrastinating and doing everything on my to-do list, starting with the most difficult. Often, we procrastinate due to fear. I wish I overcame fear easier by tackling challenges head on. With age and experience comes confidence and the courage to just go for it.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
With so many distractions, I worry that my children’s generation will lack focus on their goals and not take steps they need to in order to accomplish them. I worry that future generations will be afraid to exercise their religious freedom due to fear. And I am concerned that human interaction will be limited because we are so busy “being busy” that we lose the art of face-to-face conversation.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
I love the adventure of traveling, from getting on a plane and sitting next to a stranger who could end up being a friend to trying new foods, to appreciating what makes different areas special. Traveling makes me remember that it’s a small world and yet there’s so much to see and do. Traveling makes me want to create memories and collect experiences rather than material possessions.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I love the age that I am because I have gained many life experiences. My children are more independent. I am proud of my accomplishments in my career and volunteer positions. I am confident and comfortable in my skin and care less about what others think of me. I love that my husband and I have been in love more than half of our lives and that we still get to grow old together.
